The Saskatchewan Advanced Technology Association (SATA) is an advanced technology focused industry association comprised of some 200 Saskatchewan companies. SATA supports the emergence and growth of entrepreneurial companies to further develop and strengthen the advanced technology industry in our province.
We provide a support network for small to medium sized Saskatchewan companies by developing and implementing education, networking, market research and advocacy programs.
SATA also serves as an important source of information about our industry. We seek to identify obstacles to the growth of the advanced technology industry and facilitate communication between academia, industry and government.
SATA represents six advanced technology industry sectors:
- Information & Communication Technology
- Interactive Media
- Instrumentation & Electronics
- Aerospace
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Industry Support Services
If you want to be a part of a strong voice promoting and representing the Saskatchewan advanced technology industry, then you need to be a SATA member. To join SATA please contact us at (306) 244-3889 or visit our Membership page and join on-line!
PRESIDENTIAL PURSUIT
The competion is still open for SATA's new President. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the President will be responsible for leading the organization to realize its strategic vision, serve its membership, and successfully lead the business operations.
If you are, or know of someone, with the 'right stuff', please forward your resume or contact the SATA office (306-244-3889) for more information.

State of the Industry 2010
SATA has launched the State-of-the-Industry database (SATAbase) - a current and compelling reflection of the Sasktachewan Advanced Technology Industry in Saskatchewan.
The SATAbase is currently populated with 243 advanced technology businesses, that display in random order (no preferential treatment for the companies at the beginning of the alphabet!) along with some basic information. It is now up to each and every company listed to update and add to their company profile.
Search the database and if your company is listed, click on your company name or logo. Once your company profile comes up, you will be given the option to edit your company. Follow the instructions. If your company is not listed, click on the 'Add Your Company' and follow the instructions. Addition of a new company to the database may take a few days while the data is reviewed and approved by the Administrator. And, the company metrics are an imporant component of the database, so they are mandatory fields to be completed before the company can be added to the listings.
This new on-line tool is not simply a snap shot of the industry as it is today, but rather a constantly changing and growing picture of Saskatchewan's advanced tech industry.
Why Participate? This SATAbase gives us the opportunity to concretely define the size and scope of the industry and its contribution to the provincial economy. Some very wise person once wrote, 'If it matters, measure it.' and by collecting the metrics from this sector, that is what we will be doing.
